I am a researcher and writer of food history based at University of Toronto in Canada. My popular food writing has been published by the BBC, Eaten Magazine, and Shakespeare & Beyond and my academic writing on food history has appeared in Early Modern English Foodways: A Critical Sourcebook and The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Early Modern Women's Writing. I specialize in early modern European food history and specifically manuscript recipe books. I am currently working on a monograph tentatively titled Converting Cuisine: the Christianization of Jewish and Islamic Foods in Early Modern Europe.
