David Thompson

David is currently Head of Learning at the Food Museum, Suffolk where he uses food as a medium for communication and engagement. Throughout his career he has worked with a range of institutions including the Houses of Parliament, the London Transport Museum, The Francis Crick Institute and The British Library to create food-based learning experiences for a variety of audiences from children to academic experts.

Prior to working at the Museum, David was Special Programmes Lead at the youth food charity Eat Club, has run food-based engagement projects with WaterAid, completed a Master's degree in Food Anthropology, gained food policy experience with the School Food Plan, and has cooked in a variety of settings including school kitchens, professional kitchens and run a small catering company.
