Carolyn Humphries

I am an NCTJ-trained journalist and passionate about food. I also studied Home Economics briefly but started my food career as a chef, then a spell in restaurant management. I became a cookery writer for 'Woman' in the late 1970s, then a cookery editor. I am now freelance. I promote healthy eating for everyone and care deeply about what we eat and where it comes from. I have written over 60 books on a diverse range of topics from gluten-free bread and cakes to celebrating the best of British seasonal produce and transferring to a more vegetable-based diet.
