Sad Farewells

The New Year began with the announcement of the death of one of the country’s most illustrious chefs, Albert Roux. Albert was never a Guild member but admired and respected by all who encountered him. Shortly before Christmas, the Guild said goodbye to a long-term Guild member, the ever-popular Charles Campion. Charles started his career in advertising, and went on to become a chef-hotelier, food writer and MasterChef judge. We hope to include an appreciation of this much-loved colleague in next month’s newsletter. Please do email if you would like to share your memories of Charles.
