Louise Kenney

Lou Kenney trained as a chef at Ballymaloe Cookery School then ran her catering business for 10 years. She is now a food stylist, home economist and recipe writer and she is the author of Dinner’s in the Bag, Foolproof Airfyer and Foolproof Veggie Airfryer (all published with Quadrille). She is passionate about food, farming and avoiding doing the washing up. Learning to cook properly brought her back to life after the death of her mother in 2007 and she believes profoundly in the power of doing things that spark joy. Her husband has said she can be waspish and brusque in the kitchen but warm outside of it!

She has recently come back to work full time after having children and she is keen to expand her network and find creative projects which match both her enthusiasm and style. She likes to cook and create recipes by using up what she already has available to her but often finds her cupboards brimming with unnecessarily bought packets and tins of delightful produce.
