I have been writing about food and drink in Scotland for around a decade.
I am the former food and drink editor of DC Thomson, where I led a team of brilliant journalists for more than two years, and established and grew a community around the specialist subject.
I have interviewed hundreds of individuals and have covered all aspects of the industry including hospitality, manufacturing, farming and tourism.
I worked for DC Thomson for seven years and was the first individual to specialise in food and drink writing. When launching the Evening Express' weekly supplement, Society, I was instrumental in developing its content pillars, design and tone. Half of the magazine was dedicated to food and drink as a result of my passion for the sector.
I am currently a casual radio presenter for Original 106FM and continue to pitch Scottish food and drink and travel features to publications across the UK. I also create content for brands on my social media pages (@juliabryce92) and have hosted a number of events including Diageo's celebration of 200 years of Cardhu, Taste of Grampain (interviewing James Martin, Si King, Nadia Hussain and Poppy O'Toole live), The Scottish Game Fair and SeaFest Peterhead.
I also a judge for a number of food and drink awards and events.
