As well as enjoying the important practical world of food education I complement this with academic research, writing and consultation work. My Ph.D. in Social Anthropology was a study of what happens to learning about food when it is taken online, through the eyes of 11 chef educators who experienced the ease and problems of not being physically together.
I work with others on creative and educational food projects with a specific focus on how what we eat impacts people and planetary health.
