Eleanor Ford

My latest book is 'The Nutmeg Trail' and, before that, 'Fire Islands' and 'Samarkand' (co-authored with Caroline Eden). I am a keen traveller, having visited over 75 countries and sought out the best food in each of them. My writing focuses on making world cuisines accessible and capturing evocative flavours in home recipes. I have been a recipe developer and editor for the Good Food Channel, BBC Food and Good Food Magazine. I am also an experienced recipe tester and food stylist. My work has extended to reviewing books and judging writing awards as well as being a Great Taste Awards judge. I also write about restaurants. For Zagat, I was the local editor for the Hong Kong restaurant guide and a ZagatBuzz restaurant blogger in London. I was also a Time Out restaurant reviewer for five years, specialising in Asian and world foods. I give regular lectures on spices for The Smithsonian.
