Bill Sewell brings Bill’s Kitchen to Ludlow

Much-loved Hereford eatery Bill’s Kitchen operated by food writer and restaurateur Bill Sewell is expanding. Bill is opening a sister establishment in Ludlow at the Assembly Rooms. Ludlow Assembly Rooms have been undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment and Bill’s Kitchen is the first fruit of this project. In a few weeks’ time the beautifully refurbished auditorium will open and bring both live performances and nightly cinema back to the town. The team from the Assembly Rooms first got in touch with Bill after eating at All Saints Hereford back in 2008 so it’s been a long journey from there to opening in Ludlow.

Bill’s Kitchen in Ludlow will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 8pm. Breakfast features bacon and sausages from the Tudge family at Richards Castle. Lunch ranges from beef and ale pie, to award-winning quiches, through rabbit with roast peppers and ‘nduja to lentil, leek and White Fox cheese bake with courgettes in tomato and basil sauce. Early evening service features small plates with cheeses from the Mousetrap cheese shop and locally produced cured meats with wines from Bentleys wine merchants. As at All Saints in Hereford everything is made on site including artisan breads for sandwiches and cakes to go with locally roasted Hundred House coffee.
