Zoom

Time: 4pm
Price: Free. Open to Guild members only.

Event Information

Dina Begum author of The Brick Lane Cookbook will share how to make one of her favourite family recipes over Zoom.

These difficult times call for food that brings comfort and joy and this is just the thing to bring cheer when you want a spicy snack, or starter. Shingara is a pyramid shaped samosa popular in Bangladesh and West Bengal, which can be found on street food stalls and is also made at home. You’ll learn how to prepare a delicious spiced potato filling, which includes Bengali five spice panch phoron, and put together a dough for the Shingara pastry.

Once the demonstration is over Dina will respond to questions from participants. A written recipe will also accompany the session, so you can make them to enjoy at home!
