Congratulations to the Guild members honoured in this year's André Simon Memorial Fund Food and Drink Awards.

On Monday 8 March 2010 in the Archive Room at the Goring Hotel in London's Beeston Place the Trustees of the André Simon Memorial Fund announced the winners of their 2009 Book Awards.
The Award for the 2009 Drink Book Award went to Guild member Carla Capalbo for her book Collio (published by Pallas Athene).
Guild member, Darina Allen was presented with the 2009 Food Book Award for her book Forgotten Skills of Cooking (published by Kyle Cathie).
A Special Commendation was given to Catching Fire: How Cooking Made Us Human (published by Kyle Cathie) written by Richard Wrangham. Richard will be giving the Guild of Food Writers Annual Lecture in the Autumn of 2010.
