Rosie Birkett

I am a food writer, author and journalist who has been writing about culinary matters for over a decade. I've trained in cookery and am passionate about the connection between food, culture and anthropology, as well as the very practical concern of how we can feed and nourish ourselves with as much joy and satisfaction as possible. I'm fascinated by the stories behind our food and find that I am never short of inspiration thanks to the unifying and universal nature of my chosen subject. I have written three books under my own name - my debut cookbook A Lot On Her Plate (Hardie Grant, 2015); East London Food (Hoxton Mini Press, 2016) and The Joyful Home Cook (publishing this may by Harper Collins Non Fiction), and co-authored a book with Alain Ducasse called J'aime Lo.ndon (Hardie Grant, 2014)
