Forget opposable thumbs and self-awareness, it is the divinity of the palate which makes us human. Organoleptics is the study of our sensory perceptions and this workshop will cast new light on our sense of taste. Dom Lane is a philosopher and food PR guru with an impressive intellect and an even more impressive appetite. He will lead us in informal adventure winding through the chemistry, physiology and philosophy of flavour taking in the fifth taste, the search for the sixth and the three dimensional language of the senses. And because food for thought is no substitute for the real thing the idle banter will be punctuated by some surprising taste marriages: cheese and chocolate, rum and coffee beans, oysters and tonic, vertical and horizontal tastings have all been mentioned.
Further details to follow - it is likely to be a sell out so book soon.
Directions: Closest tube is Chancery Lane.
