Guild member Michelle Brachet (below) is a Gourmand World Award-winning cognac writer, speaker and consultant. The World of Cognac is her reference book for any cognac lover, aficionado or novice. Michelle promises Guild members and their guests an evening of cognac adventure, enlightenment and lots of fun! She will be showcasing exceptional quality cognacs from all over the region. Starting with a refreshing cognac cocktail, she aims to open our eyes to cognac’s versatility and the plethora of different styles and characteristics the category has to offer, including the different ways it can be consumed and paired with food. In good time for festive season planning, Michelle will be pairing the cognacs with indulgent foods that complement the cognacs perfectly, ranging from cold meats and pâté to cheeses, nuts and chocolate.
