The YBFs (Young British Foodies) awards are an annual national food and drink awards renowned for championing British talent, and seeking out and celebrating the grassroots talent of the industry. The judges range from food-greats such as Marina O’Loughlin, James Knappett and Guild members Yotam Ottolenghi and Anna Jones and past winners have included writer and Guild member Olivia Potts, photographer Izy Hossack and goat champion James Whetlor.
This year Guild member Kathy Slack won in the Vegetable category for her monthly supper club, blog, Gluts and Gluttony, cookery classes and photography, which all feature homegrown ingredients from her veg patch.
