International Association of Culinary Professionals Awards

Among the finalists of the 2019 International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) awards announced last week are two Guild members:

Germany-based food and travel writer Christie Dietz. Christie has been shortlisted in the Culinary Travel Writing category for her National Geographic Traveller Food (UK) feature on Germany’s love of white asparagus. An edited version of the piece has also just been published in the April/May issue of National Geographic Traveller US. Christie will be travelling to Santa Fe, New Mexico, for the awards, which are taking place on Saturday 18 May, and she would love to meet up with any other GFW members who might be there.

Syrian-Lebanese writer Anissa Helou. Anissa’s book Feast: Food of the Islamic World has been shortlisted in the General Cookbook category and the International Cookbook category.
